Watson Fourth At Houston MarathonPublished by
Two time Canadian Steeplechase Champion Rob Watson made his transition to the marathon a reality Sunday at the Chevron Houston Marathon. Watson finished the race fourth overall in a time 2 hours 16 minutes and 17 seconds. After setting off on Olympic A standard pace for the first 30 kilometres, the wet and humid conditions slowed his progress over the last 6 miles of the course. Watson’s fourth place finish is the highest by a Canadian male at the Houston Marathon since Peter Fonseca won the race in 1995.
