A cool morning Sunday would suit Reid Coolsaet and Eric Gillis of Guelph’s Speed River Track and Field Club just fine. By the time most Guelphites are finishing their morning coffees, either or both of them could be the first Canadians to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London. “We just found that out,” Speed River coach Dave Scott-Thomas said as he watched the pair and teammate Rob Watson head out for a training run earlier this week. “It’s the only event that’s open.
