Watson hangs on for 2nd at Canadians

GUELPH — Rob Watson had a plan heading into the senior men’s AGSI Canadian Cross Country Championships race Saturday at The Arboretum.

A steeplechase specialist in the midst of training for a January marathon in Houston, the Speed River Track and Field club runner figured he’d use the monster miles he’s been putting in during recent training to outmuscle the opposition in Saturday’s 10-kilometre race.
