Olympic dreams need support nowPublished by
Courtesy John Marsden- Guelph Mercury The 2012 Olympics may seem to be far away, but for athletes, this is the make or break time. To qualify, you need to perform at a certain level in this coming year. This is the time to focus, to put all that you have into your sport. Despite all of the myths, success is made of hard work. We all have within us the seeds of some greatness; it is through work that dreams are made real. Guelph’s Olympians are out there right now, training on the roads and trails. Rob Watson ran 40 kilometres through the slush on Sunday morning. Watson runs 240 km a week right now, training for the Houston marathon in January. If he runs fast enough, he will have a chance to run in London in 2012.
